Health Screening Tests

Whether looking to diagnose an illness, meet travel requirements, or monitor your pet’s health as they age, we offer a variety of lab tests to suit all pets’ needs. By keeping an eye on your pet’s lab results, our team can provide a variety of health and lifestyle recommendations, detect warning signs of early disease, and provide the most effective treatments possible when trouble occurs. Annual lab work is recommended for most pets, and you may hear our team suggest “Wellness under 8,” “Wellness over 8,” and “Accuplex 4” tests during your pet’s check-up! Since not all health issues are visible to the naked eye, we use these routine tests to check a range of values that correspond with your pet’s age and health status. Specific lab work can also guarantee that your pet has not come into contact with ticks and other parasites that carry life-threatening diseases. Pets with specific health concerns may also require regular lab work. Your veterinarian will be able to discuss the details of any required tests including the benefits of each specific test, how often we should be testing, and the average turnover time for results. If a specific test was recommended for your pet, or you’d like to do a general lab work panel to ensure there are no underlying health concerns present, give us a call! We’d be happy to discuss your testing options and book an appointment.
